Shandong Luneng beat Henan Jianye, Guangzhou R&F stun Shanghai Shenhua in CSL

DALIAN - Former Manchester United player Marouane Fellaini scored to give Shandong Luneng a 2-1 victory over Henan Jianye, while Guangzhou R&F stunned Shanghai Shenhua 3-2 in the 6th round of the Chinese Super League (CSL) on Wednesday.
In the past five rounds, Luneng had three wins, one draw and one loss. Both sides missed good opportunities in the opening moments. Moises Lima Magalhaes opened the scoring in the 13th minute with a long-distance goal to give Luneng a 1-0 lead.
Henrique Dourado made use of Luneng's Tamas Kadar's mistake in defense to equalize for Jianye in the 26th minute. Olivio Da Rosa of Jianye was substituted after picking up an injury, which greatly reduced their attacking power.
In the 66th minute, the referee awarded Luneng a penalty kick after confirming a handball through VAR, but Jianye's goalkeeper Wu Yan denied Graziano Pelle's shot. In the 83rd minute, Fellaini sealed the win with a penalty of his own.
Luneng extended their winning streak to three games and rose to the top of the standings in their group.

Also on Wednesday, Guangzhou R&F stunned Shanghai Shenhua 3-2.
It was Shenhua's first loss in the past five rounds.
Eran Zahavi scored two for Guangzhou while his compatriot Dia Saba added one. Giovanni Moreno and Zhu Baojie contributed two for Shenhua.
