Survey shows epidemic shaping better hygiene, health habits among Chinese

BEIJING -- A total of 66.5 percent of the respondents in a recent survey said they have developed better hygiene habits during the COVID-19 epidemic, according to China Youth Daily.
Among the 2,006 people surveyed, 38 percent said they have developed a growing interest in exercise and healthy living.
The survey also found that 48.5 percent of the respondents said they had become more rational consumers amid the epidemic, while 42.1 percent started paying more attention to saving.
In addition, 35.5 percent believed they had become more independent, and 19.2 percent had taught themselves new skills while staying home.
Of those surveyed, 44.8 percent were born in the 1980s, 36.6 percent in the 1990s and 10.4 percent in the 1970s.
