Hebei reports new imported cases
Hebei province reported two new imported cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, increasing the province’s number of imported cases to five, according to the provincial health commission.
The province now has seven confirmed cases of novel coronavirus, including the five imported ones, the commission said. As of Tuesday, Hebei had reported 318 confirmed cases among local residents, 310 of whom have been cured and discharged and six have died.
On Tuesday, 19 inbound passengers from Copenhagen, Denmark said they were suffering symptoms like fever when their flight CA878 landed at Shijiazhuang Zhengding International Airport, according to a report by Sichuan province-based new media TheCover.
The 19 passengers, who didn’t report symptoms before boarding the plane, have been isolated. The remaining passengers, more than 100, were sent to designated facilities for 14-day observation, the report said.
Since Mar 23, the airport in Shijiazhuang, capital city of Hebei, has been one of 12 designated airports nationwide for receiving inbound flights scheduled to land at Beijing Capital International Airport.
