Latest coronavirus numbers from Hubei
Hubei province, outbreak center of the novel coronavirus, reported 14,840 new cases including 13,332 clinically diagnosed cases on Wednesday, according to the province’s health commission on Thursday morning.
As of Wednesday at midnight, the province has reported 48,206 infection cases, of which 32,994 were reported in its capital city Wuhan, the commission said.
There were 242 new reported deaths in the province on Wednesday, bringing the death toll to 1,310, including 1,036 in Wuhan.
By Wednesday, a total of 3,441 people have recovered and been discharged from the hospital, while 33,693 people are still hospitalized. Of these, 5,647 have severe symptoms and 1,437 are in critical condition.
Currently there are 9,028 suspected cases in Hubei. A total of 158,377 people have been traced in the province. Among them, 77,308 are under medical observation.
