Hong Kong govt offices in Chinese mainland set up virus help lines
All five Chinese mainland offices of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region's government have set up dedicated hotlines, to provide Hong Kong residents in the mainland with direct access to support amid the coronavirus outbreak.
According to a statement by the SAR government on Friday, due to the emergence of a cluster of cases in Wuhan, all of the SAR government's offices in the Chinese mainland have uploaded relevant health information and the latest updates on their websites and on their official WeChat accounts, to keep people abreast of the situation.
The offices will aim to render practicable assistance to Hong Kong residents in the Chinese mainland when necessary, the statement read.
Hong Kong has two confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus, and another two, both 62-year-old women, have initially tested positive for the virus with more checks ongoing. All are being treated and quarantined.
