Beijing confirms 32 projects to improve peoples' livelihood in 2020
BEIJING - A total of 32 projects related to people's livelihood will be carried out in Beijing in 2020, according to a session of the Standing Committee of the 15th Beijing Municipal People's Congress Thursday.
The projects cover eight aspects, including optimizing basic public services, improving people's living conditions, enriching cultural and sport activities, ensuring public security and improving the level of social security.
Specifically, more kindergartens will be added, 45,000 homes (rooms) of various types of government-subsidized housing will be built, 1,000 convenience stores and breakfast shops will be built or renovated next year.
Details of the projects will be made public and receive public supervision.
These projects were all suggested and proposed by deputies to the Beijing Municipal People's Congress, political advisors of the Beijing Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and local residents.
