Ding Fengqin signed a corneal donation agreement at Heilongjiang Eye Bank in Harbin, capital city of Northeast China's Heilongjiang province, on Monday.
The 66-year-old farmer in Qitaihe, who is also a beneficiary of corneal donation, finally realized her dream of volunteering to be a corneal donor.
"I still remembered the call from the provincial eye bank on Nov 7, 2013," she said. "When I was told I would receive a corneal transplant surgery in Harbin, I became too excited to speak a complete sentence."
At that time, Ding had been suffering from serious eye problem for nearly 40 years.
