Road collapses near metro construction site in Guangzhou

A sludge-collecting vehicle and an electric car plunged into the chasm after a road caved in near a metro station construction site in South China's Guangzhou Sunday morning.
Rescuers are checking the situation of the people in the vehicles, according to Guangzhou Metro Group Co.
The accident happened at the intersection of Guangzhou Avenue North and Yudong West Road, which is within the construction site area for metro Line 11's Shahe station. The affected road section was closed.
