BEIJING -- China's discipline inspection and supervisory authorities punished 383,000 officials, including 31 at the provincial and ministerial level, in the first nine months of 2019, the country's top anti-graft body said Sunday.
Between January and September, discipline inspection and supervisory authorities nationwide received over 2.49 million complaints and tip-offs, said the Communist Party of China Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission in a statement.
Over 1.22 million pieces of evidence of disciplinary violations were handled and 452,000 cases have been investigated over the period, according to the statement.
