One injured in Hebei residential explosion

One person was wounded in an explosion at a residential building in Handan city, North China’s Hebei province on Thursday morning, according to local government.
The blast is thought ot have been a natural gas explosion investigations are still underway, said the city’s Congtai district government.
The injured person is in a stable condition and rescue work is continuing.
The explosion occurred around 8:30 am at a household on the fifth floor of Ladefangsi residential community’s number 14 building, said Local government
According to an earlier report by local news outlet Yanzhao Evening News, a loud explosive sound was heard around 8 am from the building, after which the whole building shook and windows shattered.
Black smoke came from the fifth floor of the building, said a resident living at another building in the community.
Photos from the scene posted online showed the building has six or seven floors and that some of its windows are now broken. Bed sheet-like items were hanging from the window frames of the fifth floor.
