Overpass collapsed due to overloaded trucks

Three people were killed and two injured after an overpass in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province, collapsed and crushed three cars beneath it on Thursday afternoon, according to Xinhua News Agency.
Wuxi police confirmed that two cars were passing under the overpass on the 312 National Road at around 6:10 pm and one unoccupied car was parked under it when the incident happened.
Five vehicles, including three sedans and two trucks, crashed into the guardrail of the overpass, leaving two injured.
Initial investigation showed that the overpass collapsed due to four overloaded trucks.

Rescue workers rushed to the site, according to Wuxi police’s WeChat account.
