3rd Beijing Documentary Week sees deals worth over 200 m yuan

BEIJING -- The third Beijing Documentary Week has seen the completion of deals worth a record 243.5 million yuan (about $34.3 million) as the event closed Thursday.
This year's documentary week is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China by showing the achievements made over the years through documentaries.
Nearly 100 institutions with 201 documentaries participated in the exhibition session, attracting more than 30,000 visits. Documentaries that are available online have received 12.87 million views.
In addition, the event has explored new opportunities for the industry by helping documentary creators find business partners.
