Renowned businessman detained on suspicions of drug trafficking

Huang Yiqing, chairman of the Super Sports Car Club in Shanghai, was detained by local police on Wednesday on suspicions of causing a public disturbance and drug trafficking.
According to Weibo posts by the Hongkou public security bureau in Shanghai, Huang, 34, had spread rumors online about how the police's economic crime investigation department served as a "protective umbrella" for Chinese stand-up comedian and television actor Zhou Libo.
Following an investigation, Huang confessed that he had intentionally used spiteful words to hurt Zhou because of their longstanding personal disputes. He apologized for his actions and was detained on Aug 3 by the Hongkou public security bureau.
Further investigations later revealed that Huang, who is the ex-husband of Chinese actress Huang Yi, might be involved in the selling and consumption of drugs, leading to his arrest.
