Xi stresses efforts to improve regional economic planning, industrial chains

BEIJING -- President Xi Jinping on Monday urged efforts to improve regional economic planning featuring complementary strengths and high-quality development, and to upgrade industrial basic capabilities and industrial chains.

Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks at the fifth meeting of the Central Committee for Financial and Economic Affairs. He is also head of the committee.
