One dead, six missing in Southwest China landslide

CHONGQING - A landslide that occurred in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality at about 3 am Wednesday has left one person dead and six others missing, according to rescuers.
The landslide of about 70,000 cubic meters of mud and rocks hit Siwan village in Chengkou county, Chongqing. The search and rescue is still underway.
Local authorities have evacuate local villagers to safe places.
Heavy rain or storms hit the southwestern region last week, causing flooding, flash floods and landslides.
