Senior CPC official visits outstanding experts

BEIDAIHE -- A senior Communist Party of China official on Saturday paid a visit to outstanding experts on summer vacation in Beidaihe, a seaside resort in northern Hebei Province.

Entrusted by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, Chen Xi, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, extended greetings and good wishes to the experts in Beidaihe, as well as all other experts in various fields across the country.

Chen commended the experts for their contributions to the progress in China's scientific and technological innovation, social development and people's wellbeing, urging them to do more, be leading models of patriotism and hard-working, and play exemplary roles in reform and innovation.

He was accompanied by Vice Premier Sun Chunlan, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee.
