3 dead after construction collapse in sports center

SHENZHEN -- Three worker died and another five were injured after a construction at a sports center collapsed in the southern Chinese municipality of Shenzhen, local authorities said Monday.
The construction in the Shenzhen Sports Center that was being dismantled collapsed at about 11:40 am, trapping four workers, according to the government of Shenzhen's Futian district.
Four workers were rescued and sent to a hospital, but three died from injuries despite emergency treatment. Another four workers who were outside the sports center are receiving medical treatment due to minor injuries.
Investigations are underway.
