Guideline encourages talent to work in remote areas, grassroots units
BEIJING -- The General Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee has issued a guideline to encourage more talent to work in the country's remote areas and grassroots units.
The guideline, deliberated and passed at the sixth meeting of the central committee for deepening overall reform held in January, said talent is the key to the development of remote areas and grassroots units.
Hailing the achievements made over the years in encouraging talent to work in remote areas and grassroots units, the guideline stressed that they are still in dire need of more talent.
The guideline encouraged remote areas and grassroots units to make full use of their natural and cultural resources, "specialty" industries and research projects to build platforms for talent to start businesses or pursue careers.
The guideline called for improved policies that will facilitate the flow of talent to remote areas and grassroots units and help them attract, retain and make full use of talent.
Central and state organs and developed eastern regions should roll out measures to provide talent support to remote areas and grassroots units, according to the guideline.
