Book of Xi's discourses on agriculture, rural development published
BEIJING - A compilation of Xi Jinping's discourses on the development of agriculture, rural areas and rural people has been published by the Central Party Literature Press.
The book, which was compiled by the Institute of Party History and Literature of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, will be distributed across the country, said a statement provided to Xinhua Sunday.
The book includes 286 excerpts from more than 70 documents on the subject between December 2012 and March 2019, including speeches, reports, instructions and congratulatory letters, delivered by President Xi, who is also general secretary of the CPC Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission.
It consists of 11 topics, including the rural vitalization strategy, agricultural and rural modernization, land reform, food security, green development, rural governance and poverty alleviation.
