As the professional tennis season shifts to the China-heavy Asian Swing, the 2018 National Youth Champions Camp organized by the Chinese Tennis Association swung off its first-day action at south Beijing's 1123 Junior Tennis Academy on Friday, with dozens of young players working out in physical conditioning sessions with trainers from the Nike Training Club.
From Saturday through Wednesday, young campers will be guided by a glittering cast of professionals, such as China's two-time Grand Slam champion Li Na, her former coach Carlos Rodriguez of Argentina, and current female World No 1 Simona Halep's coach Darren Cahill, in a variety of subjects, including hitting skills, fitness, nutrition and video analysis to improve their competitiveness all around.
