Man sets out to hike around China
After hiking 2,500 kilometers in five months, Zhang Long has passed through the provinces of Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi and arrived at Sichuan province, completing nearly a quarter of his final goal to hike around the country.
Zhang, 31, started his journey on April 29 from Anshan, Liaoning province.
After graduating from junior middle school, Zhang left his hometown of Bayan county in Northeast China’s Heilongjiang province, doing various jobs in different cities.
Two years ago, he began his small business in Anshan and the life of his family became stable. Since then, he began working toward his dream of hiking around the country, a dream that started years ago.
With the support of his wife and 6-year-old son, he planned a route of 10,580 kilometers, passing through 13 provinces and cities.
