BEIJING - China's northeast region is conducting the country's first smart high-speed rail experiments, according to China Railway Corporation.
Key smart high-speed rail technologies are being tested in the section running through Liaoning province, which is part of the high-speed rail linking Beijing and the province's capital city Shenyang.
Smart high-speed rail aims to use advanced technologies including cloud computing, the Internet of Things, big data and artificial intelligence to offer more efficient, green and comfortable services.
The tests started in March and will run to late September, and the outcomes will offer technological support to other smart high-speed rail projects such as the one linking Beijing and Xiongan New Area.
