"The true value of trading second-hand goods lies not in developing second-hand markets, but in bringing brand-new lifestyle and life concept to the youths. So Xianyu platform is in essence a sharing platform, and sharing is an important part of green life," said Chen Weiye, general manager of Xianyu.

In over three years, the transfer and recycle of 3C electrical appliances including communications, consumer electronics and computers on Xianyu platform has cut nearly 100 million kilograms of carbon emission, according to estimates made by China Beijing Environment Exchange.
