Senior legislator investigated for discipline violation

BEIJING - A senior legislator of North China's Hebei province was investigated for suspected "severe disciplinary violations," the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) announced Tuesday.
Zhang Jiehui is a deputy director of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People's Congress, said the CCDI on its website.
Zhang, born in 1957 in Northeast China's Liaoning province, was vice governor of Hebei from August 2010 to January 2017.
