A pet owner in Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, paid 350,000 yuan ($52,199) to buy a set of dialysis equipment from Italy in order to save the life of her dog, suffering from renal failure.
According to Dalian-based New Business, the lucky dog was a 10-year-old Labrador named Dingding, who passed away after complications set in.
The owner donated the equipment to the local clinic, where Dingding was hospitalized and treated, which has become the first dialysis equipment available to pets in Northeast China.
