Premier Li reiterates support for trade liberalization and investment facilitation

Under the current complicated international political and economic settings, the premier said that China would like to strengthen cooperation with EU countries, including Greece, to tackle uncertainties and push for a more balanced economic globalization that benefits the world.
This year marks the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Greece, and the two countries have maintained a good relationship, the premier said.
Li highly appreciated Samaras' efforts in his term as prime minister to promote cooperation between Greece and China, and to support the Piraeus Port project which has become an important element of the Belt and Road Initiative.
Premier Li said that China hopes achieve more in cooperation with Greece by promoting mutual trust, expanding cooperation in key areas, and improving people-to-people exchanges.
Samaras said it has been a consensus for all circles in Greece to develop friendship and cooperation with China. He said he hopes the two sides will continue to deepen cooperation in all fields and achieve more mutually beneficial outcomes.
