Tianjin expo to focus on sports tourism

More than 700 enterprises from home and abroad have signed up to attend the 2017 China Tourism Industries Expo in Tianjin, to be held Sept 1 to 4.
The expo will highlight the integration of sports and tourism ahead of the 13th National Games in Tianjin in August, offering great opportunities for both sectors, said Liu Guiming with the city's tourism authority.
The expo will include seven areas with 3,000 booths, demonstrating new domestic and international travel products as well as yachts, recreation vehicles and outdoor gear.
Forums will also be held on sports, tourism and health, and on small-town tourism and the camping industry.
The expo, jointly sponsored by the China National Tourism Administration and the Tianjin government, has been held eight times since 2009, attracting a total of 1.5 million visitors from across China and more than 80 countries and regions.
