Xie Fuzhan elected Party chief of Henan province

ZHENGZHOU -- Xie Fuzhan was elected secretary of the Henan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) on Friday.
Xie, born in August 1954, was elected to the post at the first plenary meeting of the 10th CPC Henan Provincial Committee.
Xie is a native of Tianmen city in Central China's Hubei province. He joined the CPC in 1974.
Xie was appointed Party chief of Henan province in March 2016.
