Jordan's new cabinet lineup announced

AMMAN, May 2 (Xinhua) -- King Abdullah II of Jordan on Wednesday swore in the new Jordanian government chaired by Prime Minister Fayez Tarawneh, according to a Royal Court statement.

The following is the lineup of the new government:

1. Prime Minister and Minister of Defense: Fayez Tarawneh

2. Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs: Abdul Salam Abbadi

3. Minister of Finance: Suleiman Hafez

4. Minister of Foreign Affairs: Nasser Judeh

5. Minister of Parliamentary Affairs: Sharari Shakhanbeh

6. Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources: Alaa Batayneh

7. Minister of Interior: Ghaleb Zoubi

8. Minister of Planning and International Cooperation: Jafar Hassan

9: Minister of Water and Irrigation: Mohammad Najjar

10. Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research: Wajih Oweis

11. Minister of Public Works and Housing: Yehya Kasbi

12. Minister of Information and Communications Technology: Atef Tal
