Road crashes leave 8 dead in Argentina

BUENOS AIRES - Eight people were killed and at least 11 people were injured on Monday in three highway accidents in Argentina, National Administration of Highways Direction (DNV) and police authorities reported.

Five people were killed and 11 others were injured when a bus crashed into a car near the coastal city of San Clemente del Tuyu in the northern province of Buenos Aires.

Another accident happened on the national highway number 9 in the northern province of Cordoba, in which a van overturned and the driver, a 24-year-old man, was killed immediately. The reasons for the accident are still unknown.

On the same highway, two others were killed when the car in which they traveled crashed into a wire fence wall.
