In a statement after meeting, Ndebele said the call center would serve as a central hub for coordinating transport operations, information management and risk assessment during the World Cup.
"The center will provide live, real time information that will also facilitate quick decision making and responses to incidents," said Ndebele.
Travelers could get information related to transport through the call center and a website. The center would ensure visitors to the country of getting traveling information and help to adequately plan their trips.
Ndebele said the center would continue operating after the tournament, one of the government's efforts to use the World Cup to build a lasting legacy.
