KATHMANDU: Nepal Police has appealed to the public to be cautious while moving from one place to another in the wake of rising abduction cases across the country, The Rising Nepal reported on Thursday.
Complaints of abduction cases have increased, police said Wednesday.

Around 32 abduction cases were reported in November 16 to December 15, according to monthly comparative study report of Police Headquarters.
Of the total cases, police succeeded to rescue 26 people, while one person was murdered by the abductors, five of the accused involved in the cases were nabbed and five other people (victims) are yet to be rescued, police said at a press conference.
Bigyan Raj Sharma, Deputy Inspector General and spokesperson of the Nepal Police said that of the total abduction cases, they received the complaints of only 22 abduction cases.
While two months ago, 15 abduction cases were registered, said, Sharma said.
Apart from abduction cases, the case of smuggling of drugs trafficking has been also rising for the last few months.
A total of 58 drug trafficking cases were registered during the period. However, altogether 39 drug trafficking cases were registered during two months ago.
