M.K. Nepal has been suffering from flu over the past few days. He has been resting at his official residence in Kathmandu and limited his public contacts to meeting with family members and close aides only.

M.K. Nepal was scheduled to leave for Rome, Italy on November 14 to participate in a global conference on food security leading a Nepali delegation.

However, Agriculture minister Mrigendra Kumar Singh Yadav will now lead the Nepali delegation, according to Nepalnews.

United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization has organized the global conference at a time when food production is decreasing due to climate change, global warming and irregular weather patterns.
