French PM wraps up China visit

BEIJING: French Prime Minister Francois Fillon concluded his three-day visit to China and left for home Tuesday evening.

During his stay in Beijing, Fillon met with Chinese President Hu Jintao ,top legislator Wu Bangguo, and Vice Premier Li Keqiang, and held talks with Premier Wen Jiabao.

China and France signed 12 deals in areas including aviation, energy, culture and water resource utilization. Fillon and Li Keqiang also unveiled the Guangdong Taishan Nuclear Power Joint Venture Company Ltd, marking the establishment of the biggest Sino-French new energy joint venture.

Fillon paid the visit as guest of Premier Wen.
