Pierre Sarkozy, the eldest son of French president Nicolas Sarkozy, has been "outed" as a hip hop producer going by a pen name to avoid being linked to his father, media reported Wednesday.

In an interview with a hip-hop radio station last week, Parisian rapper Poison said Pierre, also known as Mosey, had helped produce some of his upcoming album and composed "La Rue," one of the titles on the album.

The 22-year-old blond-locked Pierre can be seen standing next to Poison in a photo on his MySpace webpage. On the page, "Mosey" describes himself as a "young Parisian producer."

The rapper, known for his expletive-laden lyrics and his fierce criticism of the French president, said he had no idea that Pierre, who he had known for five years, was Nicolas Sarkozy's son until "six or seven months ago."

"When I found out I lost the plot and phoned him," said the singer. "He said, 'Poison I didn't want to tell you; you wouldn't have wanted to hang around with me'."

Poison made clear that his relationship with Pierre hadn't changed his opinion of the president, who has been a prime target of rappers since branding suburban youths as "scum" while interior minister in 2005.

"I'm not a fan of Sarkozy," Poison said, concluding with an expletive.

Sarkozy's office would not comment on the radio interview, saying it involved the private life of his family.
