ULAN BATOR - Mongolian President Tsakhia Elbegdorj said Mongolia wants to host Olympic Games in Mongolia during meeting with Jacques Rogge, President of International Olympic Committee, on Tuesday.

According to press release of Mongolian Presidential press service, Mongolian President said: "Mongolians have organized horse racing, wrestling and archery for hundreds of years. In another word, sports are very close lifestyle of Mongolians."

"Mongolian athletes' ability to achieve success in Olympics is proven during 2008 Beijing Olympics. Mongolian athletes are actively training for 2012 London Olympics. Mongolian government is paying much attention in development of physical culture and sports and promotion of Olympic ideals.

"We have one plan which we would like to share with you today. This is about organizing national games every four years. Each province and county would participate in the national games. Through this, ideals of Olympic Games will be promoted."

IOC President Jacques Rogge supported Mongolian president's proposal and said: "This is really good idea. Having national games will lay down basis for having Olympic champions. I believe your country will achieve this goal."

During meeting held on January 25, 2011 at IOC, Mongolian President and IOC President signed memorabilia on Mongolian President's request to host 2017 East Asia Game and 2022 Asian game and 2040 Summer Olympic Games in Ulan Bator.
