Lily Allen 'pulls out of Mencap gig'

Lily Allen has withdrawn from tomorrow's Mencap's Big Noise Session due to ill health.

The singer has cancelled two television appearances this week and has now been forced to axe her performance at the gig.

"Lily Allen is sad to announce that she will not be able to participate in Mencap's Big Noise Session this weekend," said a spokesperson for the charity.

"Lily has been diagnosed with a severe recurrent throat infection which has also led her to cancel two television shows this week. She deeply regrets having to cancel her appearance this weekend and hopes that fans will enjoy the rest of the amazing bill on the show and lend their support to the incredible work done by learning disability charity Mencap."

Coldplay and La Roux are due to play at the special event at Exeter Castle, although refunds are now available for disappointed fans of the 'Not Fair' singer.
