(1) Overweight Baggage Charge By Weight

Overweight baggage shall be calculated per kilogram according to the weight exceeding the free baggage allowance. If it is no more than 1 kg, it shall be regarded as 1kg. The charge for every additional kilogram shall be referred to as the overweight baggage charge rate, which shall be calculated as follows: 1.5% of applicative maximum single-route direct common economy class ticket for adults on the issuing date of the checked baggage. The overweight baggage shall be calculated in RMB as follows: the overweight baggage charge rate*overweight. The result shall be accurate to the unit digit.

For skiing/water-skiing equipment, each set of skiing equipment shall include a pair of sleds, a pair of poles and a pair of skiing boots; each set of water-skiing equipment shall include a pair of standard water-ski instruments or a pair of slalom instruments. (2) Overweight Baggage Charge By Piece

The fixed overweight baggage charge rate shall be calculated by the extra piece, overweight or oversize. If a passenger’s free baggage allowance can be calculated either by the piece or weight during the whole route, the final charge shall be determined by the dwell time of midway transfer. The passenger may choose the piece system if he/she is on a round voyage in America or Canada, and the involuntary overnight is within three districts, or he/she has a transfer within three districts and is going to transfer to the next earliest flight within 48 hours. The overweight baggage by piece fee shall be calculated according to the standard rate, which varies from different destination and place. Travelers may ask the carrier for the appropriate standard rate. The calculation is as follows: a. Extra Piece:

A standard rate of extra piece charge shall be calculated per piece of checked baggage (the weight must not exceed 23kg).

b. Oversize:

A standard rate of extra piece charge shall be calculated if the size of the checked baggage (the total linear dimensions) is between 158cm and 203cm. The checked baggage exceeding the dimension of 203cm (the total linear dimensions) cannot be checked-in without the approval of the carrier. Three standard rates of extra piece charges shall be charged if it is approved.

c. Overweight:

Three standard extra piece rates for checked baggage shall be charged if the weight ranges from 23kg to 45kg. If the checked baggage is regarded as the mixing of the above three conditions, then the standard rate for an extra piece, oversized and overweight shall be calculated respectively, and the final fee shall be the sum of those three.
