The research and development production base project of a special thin touch screen glass, made of super silicon aluminum and special glass of high aluminum silicon and of high strength, was officially settled in Shuitu Industrial Park in Liangjiang New Area on June 18. The project was jointly invested in by Beijing George Investment Company, Germany's Georgo GmbH, and other companies with an investment of 2.7 billion yuan ($ 0.43).

The project covers an area of 300 mu (20 hectares). Once in production, the project is expected to achieve an annual output value of 4.5 billion yuan and annual tax is estimated to reach nearly 200 million yuan, while more than 1,500 job opportunities will be provided.
