Tian'e county holds fourth tung blossom festival

Tian'e county in Hechi, Guangxi, held the fourth tung blossom festival on March 30. Tourists gathered at Sanbao village to enjoy the festival and admire the tung flowers.

To display the unique charm of the Lanyi Zhuang ethnic group's folk culture and promote the local tung flower cultural tourism industry, the festival included a series of colorful activities, such as exhibits of painting, calligraphy and photography, and musical and athletic performances. It gained the award of "The most innovative Chinese ethnic festival" in 2014.
