A plume of sulfur dioxide gas and ash rises from Halemaumau Crater atop Kilauea volcano in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park at noon on Tuesday, April 8, 2008 as park officials were evacuating 2000 visitors. The park remained closed for a second day Wednesday as officials waited for a change in wind direction to blow away sulfur dioxide belching from Kilauea volcano. [Agencies]
