A working group formed by officials from human resources management agencies in Yunnan province investigated the development of the College Students Pioneering Park within the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone on March 19.

The pioneering park is a project initiated by the Kunming Hi-Tech Zone’s incubator center, aiming to support college students and fresh graduates to start up their own business.

The investigating group visited the service center within the park and some enterprises founded by college students and praised the service quality and preferential policies that the pioneering park has provided.

Xing Weidong, vice director of Yunnan Provincial Bureau of Human Resources Management, encouraged the youth entrepreneurs to apply for a special fund given by the Kunming government aimed at supporting local university students’ businesses and to take part in the 2015 China-South Asia Expo to showcase their products.

The Kunming Hi-Tech Zone pursues a development approach that ensures creating employment opportunities by starting new businesses and boosts development by enhancing innovation. Therefore, the Zone, along with its incubator center and pioneering park, lays emphasis on cultivating and supporting youth entrepreneurs, especially in the emerging industries such as bio-pharmaceutical, advanced materials and new energy.
