Tianjin Port (Group) Co and Tianjin Binhai International Airport signed a strategic cooperation agreement to promote combined transport of its harbor and airport.

The two parties will share each other's information on business, work out a joint emergency response mechanism and hold exchange programs regularly to promote their cooperation in more fields, such as marketing and new tourism products.

Tianjin Port is the largest port in North China with a top ranked cruise home port in Asia, China's largest tax-free bonded area and 25 inland dry ports. In 2014, its cargo throughput was 540 million tons, and container throughput was 14 million twenty equivalent units (TEU).

Tianjin Binhai International Airport, as one of China's major air cargo centers, has expanded its transport network with rapid growth of passenger and cargo throughput.

Last year, it welcomed its second terminal (T2) and an underground transit center, where subway Line 2 is available.
