The latest list of the Top 100 tourist destinations with preferential hotel prices, from www.trivago-hotel.cn, the world’s largest hotel search and information website, has been announced, based on the responses of 82 million tourists via at least 200 hotel reservation websites. The final ranking, also uses the average prices of standard rooms in different places for the past year to pick the most cost-effective places for travelers.

Out of 100 tourist destinations, 25 are on the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage list, including Morocco's Ksar at Ait-Ben-Haddou and Bosnia and Herzegovina's Mostar at the top. Greece and Portugal, which have many popular tourist destinations, are also on it, partly thanks to Europe's economic situation. Shanxi’s Pingyao and Yangshuo, a famous county, made the Top 10 list thanks to their reputation and preferential pricing.

Pingyao has a 2,700–year history, but the average price of its hotels is only 362 yuan (€44), while Yangshuo, with its picturesque scenery, is only 353 yuan. Some other hot Chinese destinations, such as the cities of Tianjin, Nanjing, Suzhou, Xiamen, Chongqing, and Hangzou, joined the ranking, ranging from 53rd to 97th place.
