Wild swans make it to Pinglu

Several swans could be seen paddling merrily about the Yellow River wetlands, at Pinglu, Shanxi province, on Oct 28, having flown in from Siberia to winter over, about a week earlier than normal. Reserve personnel said there were 30-somewild swans in the first flight and that more will follow in the coming months. The Yellow River wetlands are in a border area with Henan province, where there is abundant vegetation and a mild climate. And, as the environment gets improved, more swans have been showing up recently.(Photo/Xinhua)
