Shanxi Brands China Tour opens in Chengdu

The fourth stop of the Shanxi Brands China Tour kicked off in the new International Exhibition Center of Chengdu, capital of Sichuan province, on Sept 15. A total of 36 Shanxi enterprises are displaying 1,000 different famous products.

The Chengdu stop is an important part of the ninth Chinese Food Expo, which in turn serves as a platform for Shanxi enterprises to deepen their brand awareness.

A series of promotion activities were held during the four-day event, helping Chengdu consumers learn more about the specialties, culture and history of Shanxi.

On the first day of the event, Shanxi Pingyao Beef Group Co and Sichuan Zhuorui Trade Co signed an agreement worth 26 million yuan ($4.25 million). Lei Bingyi, president of Pingyao Beef Group, said that the Shanxi Brands China Tour has boosted sales by building up entrepreneurial integrity with government support.

Sun Yuejin, head of the Shanxi Provincial Commerce Department, said that Chengdu boasts great location advantages, which will help Shanxi build up brand awareness in Southwest China.
