At the 19th Golden Tourism Ceremony & 2013 Great China Cultural Tourism awards ceremony, on Aug 25, in Beijing, the city of Jinzhong, Shanxi province, got an Asian Golden Tourism award and was added to Great China's Top 10 Cultural Tourism City list.

The Golden Tourism Prize is the tourism industry's top award for the Asia-Pacific region. The search for this year’s winners began May, and covered a wide area, with more than 1,000 scenic sites across the country and more than 500 cities with distinct characteristics. The city award went to at least 70 cities and culture units.
