Shanxi province approved another group of talented people from overseas – 62 in all -- for its "Talent Introduction Plan", on May 29，bringing the total number so far to 197.

This "Talent Introduction Plan" was started by the provincial Party committee, back in 2009, to attract more talented personnel from overseas to Shanxi for the innovative development of start-ups. There were five previous groups of people, mostly in traditional industries, but this group covers a number of other areas as well, including emerging industries, such as e-information, new materials, and energy saving practices, all of them key provincial research fields.

Three projects that have been added to the overall plan are teenage education, foreign professionals introduction and cooperative construction work.
