There was a contract signing at the opening ceremony of the 17th East-West China Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair, in Xi'an, Shaanxi province, on April 5, where the Shanxi province got signatures on eight deals, which were worth a total of 4.2 billion yuan.

The eight projects cover business, the service industry, manufacturing, and materials.

The Shanxi delegation represented the provincial government, 10 Shanxi city governments, and 29 companies, 15 of which have something to do with the food business.

One sales rep of the Shanxi Taigu Tongbao Vinegar Co, which took part in the fair, explained that the fair is the perfect place for the products trade and, to some degree, is a bit like a stage where companies can build or improve their image.

The East-West China Cooperation and Investment Trade Fair is an annual event, which runs for five days, this year, until April 9.
