Companies in Shanxi province’s coal industry have reported total sales of more than 1 trillion yuan, in 2012, one month earlier than the original plan.

In spite of difficult economic conditions around the globe, and a downturn in the coal market overall, Shanxi’s main coal companies were active in dealing with the crisis and increased cooperation with up-stream and down-stream enterprises, extended the industrial chain, and adjusted their structure for an industrial transformation, while providing new energy for economic growth in the State-owned sector.
